ST1100 Valve Job 1/25/2004
The Shim Calculator Excel Spreadsheet by Daniel Horton, STOC #1256 . Very nice!!

Ready for the job.

You can leave the tupperware shown and still get to everything you need to do
the job.

Exhaust cam removed. Everything is laid out in the order of where it goes back.
Note different length bolts!

Right side head with exhaust cam removed.

Very lucky!! This cover bolt sheared. I was sure I had destroyed the head threads.
Man was I pleased to find I had gone slow enough that after the 'snap' I still had
the tip connected to the rest of the bolt. It came out in one piece!!

Waiting for a replacement cover bolt. I was able to remove the pulley cover, but
as it turns out you really don't need to see it to do the job.

The 'Shim Kit' I received from Peter Hughes.

The various shims in the container Jack Dannenburg constructed. None any smaller than 2.00mm
when I got it. My ST required two 1.95mm shims. :(
