If you reverse the direction of the lower mount bolt you won’t need to remove the right peg support plate when doing future maintenance.
Old versus new
The top mounting bolt is hard to reach. I lifted the upper gas tank to reach the top nut, which is stainless. I taped it to this wrench when installing it to make sure I didn’t drop it.
