2025/05/30 & 2025/06/23 Jeep PCV Valve Replacement

Replacing the stock PCV valve is most easily done by removing the battery tray. This gives you the best access to get a TORX socket on the stock bolts. You’ll need a very small socket wrench as you’ll have limited space between the valve and the firewall. Dorman replacement valves come with hex head replacement bolts. This allows you to easily remove/install the bolts with a closed ratcheting wrench.

I replaced my stock PCV valve in May of 2025 with a Dorman valve as a preventative measure. During the SDBDRX and WYBDRX my Dorman replacement failed as shown above and below.

The inner plastic sleave came out of the valve allowing the internal parts to escape. So far the second Dorman valve has been working fine.
