Turbo City Top Box Rack

4/29/2009

TIPS:

1. I had to buy a tap to clear the threads in one of the supports. The fact that some of the powder coating can get caught in the threads is mentioned in the documentation provided with the rack. I tried to use the provided screws to clear the threads, but that didn’t work for me. I used a 10-32 tap.

2. Rather than use the method described in the documentation to mark the hole locations, I opted to use masking tape at the hole locations. I put the tape at the approximate locations of the supports on the box lid, then insured I had the rack centered, then outlined the supports with a pen on the masking tape. After scribing the center of the support locations on
the tape, I then drilled the holes. Even though the holes were just big enough for the provided screws, they all hit the holes in the supports perfectly!
