I purchase my cable from Orient Express. Link here. I couldn’t find this cable on the Dynojet site, but the Orient Express site says it’s a Dynojet product.

This is the female plug at the other end of the Dynojet cable which plugs into the FJR.

With the Dynojet interface cable in place

OBDLink Bluetooth interface in place. It’s always powered on so I probably won’t be able to leave it plugged in at all times. Turns out this unit has a fully automatic sleep and wake-up mode! The LED flashes once every 3 seconds while sleeping but the current draw is only 60 mA. I’m going to leave it in place for now.

More detailed scanning info

No active or previous error codes list when I tried scanning

I tried starting the bike with the key just short of the on position and generated a P1601 error

Code cleared!

I also picked up an OBDLink MX scanner which is WiFi enabled and supports iOS devices

I generated a CEL by trying to start the bike with the key just short of the ON position

The iOS device works as well as the Windows app and can clear error/CEL issues too!

All good!

This is the error I get if I don’t turn the key to full on and then try and start the bike. It will turn over, but will not start. The result is a CEL and GC above. This might be why so many people with a CEL issue are reporting the dealer is telling them it’s a side stand issue?? I would bet the majority of all 2016 owners who are reporting a CEL are probably experiencing this issue.
