Valentine One Radar/Laser Detector

Valentine One Radar/Laser Detector

I’ve been looking for the perfect container for my Valentine One rader detector for quite some time. I’ve been using the expen$ive and large Legal speeding box. It’s longer and taller than required to house the V1. Mounting on a dash shelf typically means it’s going to cantilever  off the shelf to avoid fouling with the windshield.

Tonight I paid a visit to my local “The Container Store” to see if I could find a suitable container. I found two!

The first container is the perfect height, an just slightly to wide and long for the newer V1. It’s 5-1/2″ x 4-1/8″ x 1-3/8″. The skew is 10054861. You can find it online here. They are only $3.99! The only issue with this case is it isn’t clear but partially translucent. I don’t think that will be an issue with radar or laser.IMG_20160418_203644 IMG_20160418_203654 IMG_20160418_210849

The second container is slightly taller than require, but absolutely the perfect width and length and is clear. It’s 5-3/8″ x 4″ x 1-3/4″. The skew is 10060176. You can find it online here. They are only $2.99! IMG_20160418_203720 IMG_20160418_203728 IMG_20160418_210827

Both of these boxes are hinged and snap shut.

I decided to paint the smaller of the two boxes and try it first.IMG_20160426_174301
