2010 SPAMS Ride - Day 7 - 8/28/2010 Saturday
Canmore, Alberta to Grand Forks, BC (SPAMS)
The ride started with frost on the bikes and a cold am. We had to pour warm water on the bag locks to get them to open. It was 28 degrees and a cold ride up to Hwy 1 then to Hwy 93 and down to Radium Hot Springs. The parkway is great with high peaks and there were warmer temps as we got down off the higher elevations roads. We loved Hwy 3 then Hwy 6 down across the border and thru Colville over Sherman Pass to Republic . Sherman Pass had a rain before we got there so the forest smelled fresh and we had the sun in our face so a bit tricky with the glare and turns. The bikes all ran great this week with no tickets and mishaps! We checked in to the Northern Inn right in town. Mexican food was waiting up the street, it was a good meal and then it was off to bed.
