August 2005 Ride - Banff Alt2 (4 Days) - Option 5
About 1460 miles total. Seattle to Grand Forks, to Banff, to Kettle Falls and
back home. Nice balanced ride load, almost the exact same mileage
each day! I've also added a medium and short ride home from Kettle Falls via
Highway 2 or I-90. 6 or 7 hours versus 9.
Day 1 - 372 miles, about 9 hours. Seattle to the Grand Forks area.
Day 2 - 373 miles, about 8 hours 30 minutes. Grand Forks to Banff. Nice ride
from Radium Hot Springs to Banff!!
Day 3 - Banff to Kettle Falls. 360 miles, 7 hours 30 minutes.
Day 4 - Kettle Falls to Seattle. 357 miles, almost 9 hours via highway 20.
A couple of shorter option for day 4. One via Highway 2, and an even
quicker route via Ellensburg and I-90.
