I decided to ride up north into the mountains of
Idaho to beat the heat. I took out a small bird west of Idaho Falls. He
misjudged my speed and was
tagged by my windscreen. Just a bit of blood and a feather or two on the screen.
:( Temperatures were in the mid to high 70's in the mountains and
climbed to the low 90's as soon as I came down from the mountains. I had to wait
about 15 minutes for a Fourth of July parade to finish up in Clayton, ID.
The highway is the only road through town and they were using it for the parade.
The ride down from Stanley was much better being ON the bike, as
opposed to having the bike on a flatbed and me riding in the cab like I did 4
weeks ago! It appears my tire will get me home tomorrow morning.
