Yaesu FTM-10R HAM Radio 6/2/2007 (Updated 6/12/2008)

Yaesu FTM-10R HAM radio, Blue Sea fuse box from West Marine and an N-500 filter from www.davidnavone.com.
Red lead to the radio, green load is power in from the battery.

Updated 6/12/2008: I have also added a N-IP12a2 power isolated power supply. It powers a new, smaller fuse panel
from Centech for the audio equipment. The N-500 is now used exclusively for the Yaesu radio. The N-500 is now under
the radio where the tool kit would normally be stored.

The Blue Sea fuse box has been replaced by the one shown in the previous photo. I relocated the equipment as show to
get everything to fit better.

The two fuses shown here feed the two fuse panels. One under the driver seat for non-audio circuits, and the Blue Sea
in the tail which is filter for the audio. I upgraded the feeds to 14 gauge wire. The relay shown in the upper left is for
panel under the seat.

The relay shown here is for the Blue Sea panel used for the audio circuits.

I used some JB weld to glue a threaded rod into a RAM ball as shown. The stock RAM rod was too large.

RAM ball screwed into the back of the radio head unit.

Radio head unit mounted on the handle bars.

Close up of the FTM-10R head unit.

Yaesu CT-M11 cable and an Autocom audio cable used to interface the systems.

The red cable from the CT-M11 is ground and is connected to the ground shield on the Autocom cable.

The green and blue wires on the CT-M11 are soldered to 390kOhm resistors then connected to the black PTT of the Autocom cable.
The orange wire on the CT-M11 is the mic and connects to the white wire on the autocom cable.

Schematic from a friend showing his hookup to a Kenwood-Autocom cable. Note the resistors. Similar instructions are
provided with the CT-M11 cable.
